The Elizabeth Severino Newsletter A Voice for All Beings
December 2006-January 2007

Dear Elizabeth,

What an amazing year and what a particularly amazing past several months these last of 2006 have been! It almost spins my head when I look back on it. I wonder how "I" did it, until of course I realize "I" didn't, the Divine did it THROUGH me! (If anyone has any doubt of this, that it's the Divine working through me even when I may not consciously know it, read "Of Avian and Human Hawks," our featured article! LOL!)

So many extraordinary things have happened it's hard to know where to start. Literally thousands of dollars were raised for animal charities through my appearances at fund- raising events. At such events, I do mini animal communication workshops and/or animal communication sessions. I am awed and so appreciative that some of you actually drove as much as 4 hours to have just 10 minutes with me in person, to Voice and Sense your animals, and to have your animals experience the healing grace and compassion that the Divine chooses to flow through me. Wow! You are all just amazing. I am so blessed to have people such as you who care so much for our animal friends' well-being in my life!

The "Charity Days" as I call them, are very exhausting for me since I do non-stop readings all day long. However, I know I am making a difference by bringing needed monies into the organizations. I also believe I am making a huge spiritual contribution by demonstrating the Oneness, by deepening the level of connection and the breadth of compassion between persons and their animals, and by increasing the probability of more loving and more humane treatment for our beloved animal friends.

In the middle of the "Charity Days", was the October workshop I gave on Increasing Practical Intuition at the Annual Conference of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. This session was extremely successful, the Organizers told me it was the best attended of all the sessions given at the event (see related article). Also extremely well received was the "VIP Interview" on the Jonathan Casey Show (see related article). I've done a few other in-person radio programs since then that were also a lot of fun.

Yet another success and a great deal of fun, was the taping for the TV Program, The Voice, in Washington, DC. We're waiting for the airing schedule. Hopefully they're remember to let me know! Cue for Laughter!

Yet another success and yet another great honor, I am the featured Animal Communicator in the current issue of Species Link: The Journal of Interspecies Telepathic Communication. I am very grateful to the extremely talented Editor, Penelope Smith, for the extraordinary coverage she gave me in this prestigous Journal which has been in continuous publication since 1990. Even more, I am grateful beyond words that my daughter read the article and showed by her reaction that for the first time she understood and even accepted my choice to leave a high-paying corporate executive position to follow my heart and my passion to help animals as an animal healer and communicator.

An accomplishment of far-reaching consequence is that the animals have completed the building of the Animals' Healing Room here! (see related article on the FIRST session held in it!) We'll be speaking more about this magical and extraordinary event in future E-Newsletters.

In the past few weeks, as my travel schedule for this year has completed, I've spent some off-duty time doing woodworking and light carpentry, one of my hobbies (see What Does an Off-Duty Animal Communicator Do?).

What's upcoming for this next quarter? Well, today, December 29th, is my birthday! Will I be working today? Yes, I'm doing animal healing and communication sessions all day and then going to dinner with an old friend tonight. After this, in this next quarter, part of my intention includes finishing books I've been working on for quite some time.

It has been my custom now since 1990, to spend time around New Year's consciously planning the energies I intend to bring forth for the coming calendar year. I will do this again as this calendar year of 2006 draws to its close and 2007 begins. Perhaps you may wish to, too.

The higher purpose of this Newsletter is to provide a way for us to stay in touch, with me sharing what's going on in this incredible, exciting and unique life I'm living and the amazing animals, people and other beings who are sharing it with me! I offer to each of you that as you read each issue you experience renewal of your knowing that EACH ONE OF YOU is important in the greater scheme of things, making a difference by virtue of who you are, learning, opening, sharing your life, your love, your gifts.

If you're receiving this Newsletter, at some point you've given me your email address. If you wish to un-subscribe, click on the link at the end. I hope you enjoy reading this and I hope you feel to share this Newsletter with your loved ones and friends! Blessings, Dr. Liz

    Jess_Pete

Jess (left) and Rebecca Todd are pictured along with Jess' dog Pete! They are the first to have a communication session with Dr. Liz in the new Animals' Healing Room!

It was a total surprise to Jess! Rebecca and Jess were driving with Pete, Jess' French Bull Dog, when Rebecca surprised her sister with the news that she had arranged an animal communication session with Dr. Liz as a birthday present!

It may have all started on or about September 19, 2006, when Rebecca emailed me and said: "My sister was disappointed when she was not able to see you when you were at the Voorhees Woofstock. You were very busy that day. I was hoping to schedule an individual session with you for her birthday gift. I was hoping we could make the appointment around December 15th and weekends are best. Please let me know your availability and your rates for communication. Thank you so much in advance."

Building an Animals' Healing Room didn't exist as a conscious idea when Rebecca emailed me. Yet within a few short days of Rebecca's email, animal energies beginning with Marge Harasymuk's horse Cozon (more on this in a later story) came forth and moved into action, marshalling a large number of humans to create a beautiful room! Although completion was originally targeted for the end of October, construction, painting, and sufficient furnishing actually finished on Jess' birthday, December 15th ... precisely on time for their December 16th session!

Jess and Rebecca were convinced that their Dad, who passed on when Jess was 13 and Rebecca was 11, who loved animals, and who oversees and guides their lives, was instrumental as a catalyst in helping to create and bring forth the Animals' Healing Room for them and for Pete! It may be so, because I know that a male energy worked through me to decorate the Room in the manner of a man's country estate sitting room but I didn't recognize (and still don't) who the energy is!

I was so excited about Rebecca, Jess, and Pete being the first to have a session in the room that I went outside to meet them at the curb when they arrived. They were all very happy, too, when they heard the news about what a special day and event this was, even beyond what they already knew!

Upon entry, Pete immediately greeted and was greeted by some of the no-longer- in-form animals whose essence energies were present for the occasion. Tanuka Severino, Cozon Harasymuk, Sherman Harasymuk, Jesse James Lanteigne, Fred Pinardo, Tasha Cornell, and Ginger Hannigan greeted Pete and told him what to expect.

Jess' first question for Pete was, "Is he happy?" He replied that he is, yes, very happy. He said he is recovering nicely from recent surgery, that his stitches don't bother him.

When we humans lapsed into talking about the decorations in the new room, Pete interrupted and observed, "My humans decorate me." Jess and Rebecca laughed, since they do dress him up in costumes.

Jess wanted to know how Pete felt about her boyfriend's dog, James. Pete said he likes playing with James but James smells "off" to Pete. Rebecca and Jess explained that James never stinks or is smelly so therefore they never need to give him a bath. Pete is aware when Jess and Pete are at her boyfriend's house, that it's really James' space. But Pete hastened to add, "I always get the front seat in the car when we drive around." This is a big deal to Pete and in his mind evens the score. Pete suddenly got tired of talking about James and changed the subject to the bow they put on the back of his neck.

"Yes, I put a bow on him when we brought him home from surgery in November," Jess explained.

When Jess asked if Pete missed Jersey City, Pete got very still and stared at me. He sent me a picture of dogs walking around, meeting and greeting each other daily.

"He misses all the dogs. He misses getting out and talking with his friends. He misses all the smells from walking around, catching up on his friends' lives by smelling the sidewalks and the bushes."

Pete then sent me the picture of a dog about his height, eye-level with him, a white dog with spikey hair.

"I really miss her," he said sadly.

I conveyed this picture and this message to Jess.

"Tinker Bell, that would be Tinker Bell, he really loved her, she was his best friend there!" Jess exclaimed.

Pete reacted to hearing Tinker Bell's name.

"Well, he really misses her," I said.

Jess became sad. Pete looked at me and asked me to handle her sadness, to make her happy again. He then went to her and touched her, wanting her to know he was sorry that something he had said had made her said.

Jess shared that they were planning on moving from Marlton to Collingswood. They would be living in a home with James.

Pete was concerned about his space. Where would his place or space be, in a home that was James' home? He said he'd been to the home before (Jess confirmed this) and he was fine with it, but where would his space be?

I explained that they needed to make a space and a place especially for Pete. Jess said she would. Pete would no longer be sleeping on Jess' bed since her boyfriend would be in the bed now. Pete would be on the floor next to her bed. He needed a bed-space with sides, Pete said, because he doesn't like drafts.

Pete was also concerned about dogs as friends. James is okay, he explained, they play, but it's not the same as Jersey City.

"Collingswood is a great place for dogs, very dog friendly, very social," I commented. "There's a wonderful park there, where people walk their dogs. He'll be able to find friends there. He'll love it there."

Pete was very obviously listening to every word I said. He became noticeably happier. Jess and Rebecca then wanted to know if Pete was going to miss anything about their Marlton home.

"Yes, he's going to miss your Mom," I translated.

"Mom calls him Nick sometimes, Nick was our Dad's dog who died," Rebecca offered. "We worried he didn't like it. Mom didn't like him at first."

"Pete says to tell your Mom that she's not 'losing it' when she calls him Nick and that it doesn't bother him, she doesn't do it all the time, she actually only does it when it's actually Nick coming through and borrowing Pete's body to say, 'Hi.' So she really is picking up on Nick's energy in those moments," I translated. We all had a laugh about Rebecca and Jess telling their Mom that Pete said to tell her she wasn't 'losing it.'

One specific thing Pete likes about Jess and Rebecca is that they think in images and the images are very clear. He says Jess lets him know what's going on and what she's going to be doing through the images in her head and he likes that.

Everyone had a delightful time on this very special day and this very special event!

Birthdays are a wonderful occasion to buy Gift Certificates for animal communication sessions with Dr. Liz for YOUR favorite person and his/her beloved animal friend!

    See Doodle Run!
    Doodle_Running

A few weeks ago, Jack and Carole H. finished the recommended series of Natural Path Energy Therapy sessions for their golden retriever, Doodle. They presented me this picture, a scene I would never otherwise have seen, Doodle running in the field at their home! I was so happy I cried.

Why? Because when Doodle first came to me, she had a great deal of trouble walking, trouble focusing and seeing, and even keeping her balance. Her original veterinary diagnosis included neurological and skeletal damage along with brain damage. Her prognosis was not good.

Doodle was born with birth defects. Jack and Carole, whose hearts are as big as New Jersey, decided to take her in. Determined to give Doodle the best chance at a good life that they could, for as long as they could, they decided to bring Doodle to me and to Dr. Russell Howe-Smith, a Cherry Hill, NJ, based veterinarian who does hydro-therapy.

Over the course of eight sessions with me spread out over four month's time, we all worked together. Each energy therapy session I facilitated included as many as 30 therapies in a variety of energetic areas ranging from spiritual healing to electronic acupuncture to brain wave balancing, DNA stimulation, restructuring and correction, muscle strengthening and balancing, trauma cleansing, scalar balancing, aura cleansing, emotional balancing, enzyme balancing, auto-color therapy, and optic therapies. Always I asked Doodle what she was feeling and what she was aware of. This information led us to suggest other practices and therapies from other energy healing modalities I've learned and can teach, especially eye exercises, that Carole and Jack could do with and for Doodle in between the energy balancing sessions with me.

Doodle is now doing wonderfully! I am very grateful to Jack and Carole for bringing me such a delightfully heart-warming picture of Doodle running (are you reading this, Jack and Carole? I hope so!!! )! What a sweet Christmas present!

The sight of Doodle being so happy to see me, making sweet little happy-talk sounds, and struggling so hard to navigate the few stairs I have to the area where I used to do energy balancing sessions for animals, was a strong catalyst for me to want another space for the Animals! I couldn't stand that here she was, so happy to see me, AND that she had to struggle so hard to climb even a few stairs!!! Something had to be done!!! The Animals heard me, stepped in, and made the Animals' Healing Room happen! The Animals' Healing Room is now the home of the spiritual healing-based NPET sessions facilitated through me.

NPET is a modality originated by Dr. Liz. NPET combines spiritual healing, intuitive sensing and reading including animal communication and an extremely comprehensive range of energy therapy and balancing services in one session.

If you are interested in arranging an NPET combination spiritual healing, animal communication and energy balancing therapy session, contact Dr. Liz! First sessions take either 90 minutes or 120 minutes and cost either $225.00 or $300.00 Subsequent sessions are usually one hour and cost $150.00, but what's indicated depends on the situation. Sessions can be done in person or long distance.

Dr. Liz on the Jonathan P. Casey Show ...
    JPCasey Show

In September, Dr. Liz was the "VIP Interview" guest on the Jonathan P. Casey show. A call-in radio show, JP Casey began with a question about what animal communication really is. He shared a touching example from his own life experience with a beloved animal of his own and asked if that was animal communication. Dr. Liz immediately confirmed that it was not only animal communication but also deep spiritual healing, that he because of his love for his animal, had instinctively had the knowing to do.

"All GREAT animal communication and spiritual healing comes from the heart, JP," Dr. Liz observed, "Just as your example so beautifully demonstrates."

They talked about animal communication for a few minutes more and then the boards lit up with callers. Most callers wanted insight into their animals' behavior and/or health. One caller asked Dr. Liz about the nature of the quantum universe and its relationship to holographic intelligence. Dr. Liz happily responded and then elaborated, since this is an area where she's quite knowledgeable: Dr. Liz once was an award-winning designer of advanced computer architectures for IBM and has spent much of her life with quantum physicists and mathematicians in her circle of closest friends. It was clear to all that one caller was VERY surprised!

Jonathan P. Casey is a well-loved icon in Philadelphia music and radio entertainment. In many decades of service to the listening public, JP has consistently brought sensitivity, interest, and a keen ability to connect to his audience and his guests.

Be happy on the journey, wherever it takes you, from Dr. Liz!

Dr. Liz is VERY well received at AHVMA!
    AHVMA

What an honor! What an incredible group of dedicated people! Dr. Liz is pictured here with Carvel Teikert, the visionary founder and Executive Director of the American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association (AHVMA) at their annual meeting in Louisville, KY!

In the fall of 2005, the AHVMA first contacted Dr. Liz inquiring about her presenting at its 2006 annual conference. After a few conversations, it became clear to Dr. Liz that the best service she could offer to Holistic Veterinarians, was to facilitate a full length workshop on increasing Veterinary Intuition.

They settled on the topic, "Increasing Practical Intuition in Busy Practice Environments." Then they settled on the date, the first weekend in October, 2006. The venue would be the beautiful Galt House on the Ohio River in Louisville, KY.

Beginning Sunday morning at 8:00 am, approximately 80 veterinary health practitioners spent 3 hours experiencing Dr. Liz's multi-media presentation, opening and entraining to higher levels of spirituality and intuition. When the workshop officially ended, about 60 people stayed, not wanting to leave. So Dr. Liz continued to "open" and "teach" for another hour!

The conference organizer later told Dr. Liz that her session was the best attended of the entire event! Dr. Liz is the first animal communicator and spiritual healer EVER invited to address the AHVMA on Increasing Practical Intuition! Dr. Liz thanks the Holistic Veterinarians with whom she works for suggesting her as a Speaker.

Dr. Liz told us she really loves being with Holistic Veterinarians. And they loved her! She was invited to the AHVMA Council of Elders Conference!

"The holistic vets I met in Louisville are really interested in animal well-being at the highest levels. They are constantly wanting to improve their skills and levels of knowledge in holistic means that I know work. It's very heart-warming and I am very grateful they exist," she added.

WHAT DOES AN OFF-DUTY ANIMAL COMMUNICATOR DO?
    nimraths rack

Dr. Liz is passionate about animal well-being and healing, that we all know. She also loves to dance, that is something everyone who knows her or who read the last newsletter knows. A passion only those closest to her know ... or at least, until now! ... is, she loves light carpentry and wood-working!

"It started for me from when I was very young. I've always loved to work with wood. In eighth grade at Welsh Valley Junior High School in Penn Valley, PA, it was required that all girls take cooking and sewing and all boys take wood-shop and metal-shop. I didn't want to take cooking and sewing since I already knew how to do both. I wanted to take wood-shop. The school fought me on it. I lost and had to take cooking and sewing. But I talked the shop teacher into letting me take wood-shop during my study periods. He was wonderful. I learned how to make a lot of wonderful things under his guidance. I am very grateful."

What Dr. Liz loves to do now, is create custom name shaker-peg clothing racks for children. Always made from natural woods, sometimes she varnishes or stains the pieces, and sometimes she colorfully paints and decorates them.

"I have pretty much everything I need: intention, imagination, a great mill work store close by for woods, and equipment, including a scroll saw, circular saw, drill, compound mitre saw, and table saw. I love the smell and feel of working with wood. Shaping letters, sanding the wood, I love it."

"I only do them for children, and only as gifts. Each creation is different, very different actually, since each child is different. I sense the child, and then the design for that particular child's name and peg creation comes forth. It's wonderful. I'm usually praying or singing sacred chants throughout the construction. Often I'll have sacred pictures ... interestingly they change depending on the child ...while I'm working on a particular piece. The children appreciate the energy and aesthetics of the pieces and so do the parents."

For those of you who are wondering, "Nimrath" is a Sanskrit name meaning "humility." A gift for the young daughter of friends, the article pictured is the most recently completed of these very special, custom, one-of-a-kind items Dr. Liz creates.

    Of Avian and Human Hawks
    hawk.jpg

Since moving to Washington Township, NJ, in 2002, my life has been blessed with numerous appearances of hawks. I thrill in the majesty of their soaring flight and am highly respectful of their prowess. I notice the moment the woods behind my home become suddenly quiet, knowing that the stilled voices of the wild birds gathering, feeding or nesting there foretell the re-appearance of one or both of the two hawks who frequently perch high in the branches of the tallest trees on my hill. Sometimes the loud "erraawwwwwkkkkk" will strike terror in the smaller birds who dive for much denser foliage. Sometimes the hawk's screech is a signal for the smaller birds to instantly band together to relentlessly attack and peck at the hawks until they leave. Always it is a scene of Nature's unfolding and worthy of witness.

An intriguing and mystical bird of prey, in cultures across the planet the appearance of hawks is variously interpreted as signifying healing, vision, rebirth, freedom, and spirituality. Often a messenger of higher expressions of psychism and vision, hawks are tied to archetypal forces teaching beauty and harmony in moderation.

For me, hawks provide guidance, answer specific questions, and foretell events. I very frequently will hold the thought of a question or issue and find my attention immediately drawn upwards, where hawks high in the sky will answer by their number, direction, line or manner of flight, or all of the above, the question I've formulated.

The mystical presence of hawks in my life occurred full-force on Saturday, November 4th, 2006. On that day, I had scheduled a Blessing of the Animals followed by animal communication sessions. The beneficiary was Lost and Found Dog Rescue, whose base of operations is in Delaware, a neighboring state.

I knew something special was going to happen on that day as soon as I learned that the venue was changed from Clayton, Delaware, to Bear, Delaware. Bear is my token animal. When Bear shows up in my life, spiritual magic does, too. "Little Bear" a.k.a. Tanuka, in form and out, has been my beloved teacher and companion for a decade and a half.

Having never been to Bear, DE, I asked a handful of persons for travel advice. I also consulted mapquest.com. Suggestions included Interstate Route 295 South or Interstate Route 95 South. My home is in the middle of those two major routes, one being 15 minutes East of me and the other being 20 minutes West. Also at choice was which major bridge to use to cross the Delaware River: the Commodore Barry Bridge or the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

On the morning of November 4th, while packing my car for the journey, I was holding the question of which Route to take. My attention was pulled strongly upward to the sky. About 1-1/2 miles away, hawks were flying in the direction of Route 295.

"295 it is," I said out loud in acknowledgement, nodding affirmatively and appreciatively in the hawks' direction.

On my journey now, I had the decision of which bridge to cross. As I approached the exit to the Commodore Barry Bridge, a bridge I know far better than the Delaware Memorial Bridge, I held the question, "Which bridge?"

Immediately I saw hawks flying about 1-1/2 miles south of me, in the direction of the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

"Delaware Memorial Bridge it is," I spoke out loud, again nodding appreciatively and feeling a thrill of being so effectively escorted. This was getting exciting.

After crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge, I easily reached Route 1 South. My next decision was which exit to take off of Route 1 South to reach Bear. I knew I was to head towards Delaware City, all human advisors had agreed on that. As I found the first highway sign for Delaware City, above the large green expressway sign and perfectly in my line of sight, about 1-1/2 miles away, I saw hawks flying. I was totally thrilled. The hawks were there for me. I knew that I was to head towards the hawks. I exited at the ramp leading in their direction.

When I reached the "T" intersection at the end of the exit ramp, I looked up expectantly. No hawks!

"Where are my hawks?" I asked partly in surprise and partly as a command. "I need my hawks! I need to know which way to go!"

There were no hawks to be seen. I floundered. I checked my mapquest directions which up to now I had ignored and realized there was no way to correlate where I was with the mapquest information. No correlation, no hawks.

I felt to turn right (which I later would learn was correct). I went about 100 yards, doubted myself, and turned around. I was missing my hawk escort! I traveled for a mile and felt this was wrong.

I then remembered that I had the cell phone number of the organizer, Marleen. Reaching her, I asked for directions. I described what I was seeing around me.

"I have no idea where you are," she said. She handed the cell phone to someone else.

"I just passed a Getty station," I volunteered to the new voice.

"Oh, I know where you are. Turn right at the Getty station. Do you see the store on your left?"

"No, there is no store here."

"Oh, then I don't know where you are."

The phone was passed on again. And again.

Later Marleen would tell me, "You have NO idea how many people we passed that phone along to!"

"What do you see around you?" the next voice asked.

"I see an oil refinery tank," I responded.

"An oil refinery tank? I don't know where you are either."

I heard a low rumble of a male voice in the background. The phone was passed on again.

"There's an oil refinery tank on your left?" the male voice asked.

"Yes," I replied. "Do you know where I am?"

"Yes, Ma'am. Do you now see a sign coming up on your left identifying the refinery as Valero?"

"Yes, I do!" I exclaimed delightedly. "The Valero Refinery!"

"Yes, Ma'am," the voice said. "Turn around. Go back to where you left Route 1. Tell me when you get there."

    I did.

"You are now 1-1/2 miles from this location. Drive north on the current road. Go to the next traffic-signal intersection. A gas station is on the opposing right. Turn left. This location is 3/4 of a mile on the right."

"Thank you! Thank you so much!"

    "Yes, Ma'am," came the reply.

I marveled at the clarity, control, precision, and energy of service of the voice. I was VERY grateful!

I reached the location and began facilitating the Blessing. When doing Blessings of the Animals, I ask people at one point to share how animals have demonstrated the Grace and magic of our Sacred Universe and/or have been great Teachers or Guides for them. As an example, I volunteered my story of how the hawks had guided me so effectively and efficiently to the "T" intersection, how I wailed, "Where are my hawks? I need my hawks!" when I got to that intersection and there weren't any hawks, how I floundered without them and had to call and finally be talked in. I mentioned that I had been so convinced that the hawks would guide me completely there!

Assembled was a group of about 40 persons with perhaps 60 animals. As I said this, the group who mostly all knew each other, looked around knowingly, eyes widened, some jaws dropped. It was clear that something was totally understood by this group; and that a group decision was immediately made that since we were in the middle of the Blessing service, they would remain respectfully quiet. Most looked towards one particular woman.

I, too, was in the energy of the Blessing at that point and felt the priority at that moment was that it be completed. I also knew I would be told at the appropriate time what the group reaction was all about.

I finished the service and began the individual blessings, holding the question of the very unusual reaction of those assembled at that one point in the service. The lady third in the Blessings line, the one most had looked at, volunteered an explanation to the unusual behavior I had witnessed.

"The man who guided you in is my husband. The hawks did bring you in," she said softly, "they brought you all the way here, but you didn't know it. My husband is a Black Hawk Helicopter pilot!"

Thrilling vibrations of Grace in-filled my body. My jaw dropped open and then my face then formed a huge smile. I shook along with my body's recognition of the strong presence of Spirit. I was excited, elated, and awe- filled all at once.

"This is wonderful, delightful, thank you, thank you for telling me!" I exclaimed. "Is he here now?"

    She shook her head no.

"Can you get him? I'd like to speak with him to acknowledge him and thank him personally."

A little while later, Brian Shepherd met me in the field behind the animal communication barn. His personal body aura glowed with committed service and spread out many yards wide as I approached him. I would later learn he has been of service for over 26 years.

We spoke. He put into my hand, his golden-brass- colored, oval Black Hawk Sikorsky medal.

"The hawks did a hand off to me," he announced with the clear and simple grace of a mission accomplished.
