Envision the following dilemma ... you have good friends
whom you observe treating their dog badly. You want to help ... what do
you do?
If you're Brigitte, a long-time member of the
worldwide Angel Wonder Powers Team facilitated by Dr. Elizabeth Severino, you email
and ask for help.
Except in this case, Brigitte's
emails from her home in Australia, disappeared into Cyberspace.
Frustrated
and deeply worried about the situation, Brigitte signed onto the July 9th,
2009, Chat'N'Pray. Chat'N'Prays are group prayer gatherings of the Angel
Wonder Powers Team, a group of volunteer pray-ers from multiple countries, facilitated by
Dr. Liz since 1998.
Brigitte asked if Dr. Liz had received her email
about the situation. Dr. Liz hadn't. Brigitte said she had sent the
email multiple times, each time receiving a successful "Sent" message. Brigitte
sent it again multiple times during the Chat'N'Pray session itself. Other
emails sent by Team members on-line to help "trouble-shoot" what was happening, were
received, but not the one from Brigitte explaining the situation.
Brigitte
was deeply concerned about how to balance her friendship with her knowing that
a dog in the care of her friends, was being neglected. How does one balance
possibly risking a friendship and wanting to help an animal, and the feeling that
one needs to decide between the two?
As it turned out,
another Chat participant that night, Jane from Louisiana, U.S.A., brought
up that very issue ... and Dr. Liz recognized Spirit at work. The emails
from Brigitte were not being received, because Brigitte's issue was not to
be a privately resolved matter. This was to be a matter discussed openly
and presented to the Angel Wonder Powers Team, to use its very powerful collective
Heart.
Jane observed, "I have been there so many
times - it is a very hard place to be. I have seen good friends not really taking
care of their animals as 'I think they should.' If you say something, you may
be overstepping your bounds. If you do not say anything, then what about
the animal?"
Brigitte explains her situation: "A friend of mine
breeds Rottweilers and even imported a beautiful Rottie girl from Germany four
years ago. Fee is now 5 years...had 3 litters of very beautiful puppies ... which
I find was too much for her body. I always told my friend that it was wrong....but
the $$$$$ came in with selling the puppies for $1500. Last week Fee was
diagnosed with Lymph cancer....now I cry again....sorry ... she has only
2 months to live.
"Fee has always been
in this concrete kennel and it is cold here at the moment ...I had a long talk
with my friend yesterday which could be the end of our friendship. My friend says
it is mostly her husband who is the problem. I cannot forget Fee's eyes
when I visited her ... so sad and begging."
Brigitte explained
that she said to her friend, at least Fee should have a warm bed and be in the
house or at least the garage and not on the concrete in the cold kennel.
They went together and bought a bed for Fee. She hadn't heard
from her friend since.
Marge from Alberta, Canada,
an animal communication student of Dr. Liz's, shared a story about a difference
she made in the life of a horse she had heard call to her and ask for help. Marge
knew the horse but barely knew his person. However, she spoke to the horse's
person, saying that the horse had come through to her very clearly in her thoughts
that he was cold and hungry. The horse's person went to where he was
boarded and found this to be so. She moved her horse to another boarding
facility.
Others shared their stories, too, of the risks they
had taken, to make a difference.
Dr. Liz then felt to
lead the Team to pray for the raising of consciousness around animal well-being,
and especially in the situation involving Fee and her persons. The energy
elevated significantly. The Team's collective Heart opened and radiated
strongly.
The following morning, Brigitte
received the following email from her friend:
"Hello
Brigitte,
"Fee is doing really well. I got her a 100% pure
wool blanket and along with her new bed she is kept very warm. She has moved
into the house now. She watches TV at night and sleeps by our bed. I
keep waking up to check on her but as soon as I see she is fine I am back off
to sleep. She spent the day inside with us as we were in the office and
doing our work. She just lays in her bed and is happy just to be able
to see us. She is so special! Love, Linda."
Attached
were pictures of Fee, safe, warm, and inside. One such picture is below.
Brigitte
immediately emailed Dr. Liz:
"The power of
our prayers worked AGAIN!!! This morning I received an email and had to send
it to you. I had tears in my eyes when I saw the photos and how happy and content
Fee looks.....Don't you agree? This is really a miracle, Elizabeth! No animal
has ever been allowed into my friends' new, super modern house with white tiles
and white leather furniture... Even the much loved cat has his house in the garage.
"I
told Linda how proud and happy I am about the way she cares and stood up for Fee...
May she receive from the Universe all the love and strengths necessary now in
order to give Fee a warm and happy environment as long as she needs it. I
don't know the whole story yet, but at the moment Fee's well being is the
only thing that counts.
"Please
say thank you to everybody in our WONDERful group who prayed for Fee.....Just
amazing what happened only hours later!!"
Brigitte
further shared, "I believe now that Higher Spirit wanted me to share Fee's
Story with YOU when you were in action as a teacher and guide for our praying.
Just reading an email couldn't have created the same powerful energy <that
we created during the Chat'N'Pray>, I guess! I would love you to share
this with everyone and thank them at the same time."
Angel
Wonder Powers Team, you've done it again! THANK YOU from Brigitte, Fee, and
all animals everywhere whose situations have been similarly improved by consciousness-raising
prayers from conscious pray-ers!!!

Epiloque:
On
21 August, Brigitte received an email from Linda:
"Thank you for
your prayers for Fee. She had a big breakfast of freshly roasted beef and
lots of water. She is happy and such a beautiful girl. She slides herself
off her bed and does a wee and then looks up as if to say "sorry mum". I
tell her she is a good girl, give her heaps of praise and she smiles again.
She is in a routine now and we know when she is due to go. To look at her
you would think there is nothing wrong, she really does look good."
On Monday
7 September, Brigitte received a very short email from Linda:
"On
Saturday morning at 10.20, we had the vet come to our house and Fee was put to
sleep. She is now at peace."
The date of Fee's release was
5 September. It is only very recently that the final details of Fee's life
have become known. Linda and Brigitte spoke on 1 December, when both were
attending a meeting together, and Brigitte gently asked Linda about Fee's last
moments.
Brigitte learned that Fee was allowed to stay
in the house until her end, even though she couldn't walk anymore on her own due
to her paralysed back legs. Linda's husband carried her outside to go to
the toilet and also to be with and to see her friends, the other Rottweilers.
She spent many hours on her blanket inside and dragged herself sometimes on the
tiles from one point to another just to be with Linda. Linda tried
everything possible to feed her something good and soft because Fee could hardly
swallow in the end due to the lymph cancer growing in her thoat.
Brigitte
shares:
"Linda became very emotional and burst into tears <when
asked about Fee's last moments>. All her experiences with Fee were clearly
still present and hurting. I felt how much she misses Fee and also how desperately
she was looking for comfort in the new puppy, Fee's granddaughter, when she told
me how much this puppy looks like Fee. With tears in her eyes she told me that
Fee couldn't swallow or drink anything anymore the last week of her life due to
the growing cancer in her throat. She just deteriorated by the hour.
She also hadn't used her back legs, which were paralysed, for four weeks before
she died. Because Linda has read your book, Elizabeth, <The
Animals' Viewpoint on Dying, Death, and Euthanasia> which I gave her to
read, Linda has been somehow prepared to do the right thing and was keen to understand
signs Fee gave to her. Fee just hung on to life to please Linda, but one
morning,(5th September 2009), 'she had lost the shine in her eyes and clearly
wanted my help to be freed', as Linda put it. Linda called the Vet, who
knew Fee very well. Fee died in Linda's arms in the house and with a candle burning..."
Brigitte continues:
"I can feel
Fee's brave spirit is still around, I wish her the peace she deserves and I thank
her for doing such wonderful work by teaching us humans a very important lesson
about trust and unconditional love ... Love you, beautiful girl!"
