My Dear Friends, It's
January and the beginning of a brand new Calendar year! The idea of 2006, as with
each New Year, brings with it, promise, hope, and renewal! For me, January is
a time to reflect and a time to set intentions. It is my custom to spend an entire
day in this process.
The past several months for me have been full of
the assimilation of my recent trip to India; adjusting to the major changes in
my life with my beloved Tanuka now gone from form; celebrating a major "decade"
birthday; and experiencing even more dimensional shifting.
My 2006 intentions
are to play and create more, to flow even more joy, and to reach a higher level
of spiritual depth, lightness, and joy in living service and contribution! The
lessons continue, the spiritual excitement and anticipation mounts!
"Making a difference" is our January Newsletter's topic! The higher purpose of
this Newsletter is to provide a way for us to stay in touch, with me sharing what's
going on in this incredible, exciting and unique life I'm living and the amazing
animals, people and other beings who are sharing it with me! I offer that the
higher purpose of this January issue, is for each of you to experience renewal
of your knowing that EACH ONE OF YOU is important in the greater scheme of things,
making a difference by virtue of who you are, learning, opening, sharing your
life, your love, your gifts. Enjoy some of this month's stories about people and
animals who are making a difference!

VERY Happy Horse Confirms his Human's Progress in Becoming an Animal Communicator... |

"I
am so happy. My human's doing it. He's sending me clear messages and images. He's
doing it. He's starting to understand what I'm sending back to him, I know because
of what he sends me next. Tell him I know. Tell him I'm getting his messages.
He is doing so well. I know he loves me. I love him. He is really working at this.
I am so happy," spoke Cisco, a Red Dunn quarterhorse, quickly, excitedly,
non-stop, barely taking a breath in between, about the animal communicating progress
of his human, Robert, one day some weeks ago. Robert
is a few lessons away from completing Elizabeth's 1-year On-Line Mentoring
Program for Animal Healers and Communicators. The Program comprises on-line
lesson links, exercises and practices, and coaching through Elizabeth.
"And," Elizabeth grins, "coaching from the Students' animals, who very
quickly get enrolled in helping their humans!" The
occasion was a mid-December consultation with Robert and Cisco during which Robert,
through Elizabeth, asked Cisco if Cisco was receiving Robert's morning communications
with him while he was driving to work. Cisco was receiving them, Cisco said. He
liked them! And he had pointers for Robert on how to communicate better with him!
"He's
holding the image of the consciousness of the connection in front of his eyes,"
Cisco offered.
When Elizabeth asked Robert is this was so, Robert replied,
yes, he could see how Cisco would feel and say this.
Cisco then suggested
that for him, it would be clearer if Robert would hold the image slightly above
his head, in the place of no language, instead of in front of his eyes. Robert
already had a lot going on in front of his eyes during those times, Cisco offered.
Robert immediately agreed that he had a lot of mental activity during
his trip to work and even, he laughingly replied, other times as well. He agreed
that this could help him and that he would do it. Cisco
was extremely talkative during the communication session and exceptionally proud
of his human and his human's progress in communicating with him. Cisco then turned
to other issues that were coming up for him that day.
Speaking through
Elizabeth, Cisco said he missed the "foursomes" ... when Robert and Cisco and
Robert's wife Carol and her horse Koko would go riding together ... and hoped
they would resume again soon. He said he loved his blanket ("cooler") and felt
majestic in it. Robert explained it is a Royal Blue and that Robert tells him
he looks like "royalty" in it. Cisco also spoke of the "aways" of Robert and his
wife and asked for specific forms of contact from Robert during the "aways" (trips
& vacations).
Cisco was extremely happy, very talkative, and had a great
deal more to say! The
morning after the session with Elizabeth, Robert emailed Elizabeth.
"Cisco sure had a lot to say, didn't he? I'd like to get to that space where
I can experience him like that. I tried holding the consciousness of communicating
with him above my head. Got some work to do there." "I
sure do enjoy communating with the animals," Robert delights. "Cisco sent
me a very warm love feeling in my heart this morning. It was really nice. I tried
sending him the same back." Communication
received, Robert!

from the Other Side ... | |

Tanuka
has been in touch multiple times since he dropped his body on October 10th, 2005.
I know many of you reading this will understand that even though we are in touch
and I am so relieved he is out of all pain, I miss immensely his handsome physical
presence, the turn of his head, the arc of his neck, the solidness of his frame,
the daily contact, the warmth of his body, his gentle humor, his patient guidance,
his deep wisdom and his daily witty commentaries. Tanuka's
life-long friend Jim recently emailed, "You know, I see him in my dreams sometimes.
It happend again Wednesday night. I can't recall the circumstances but I know
he was happy. Anyway, I remembered -- probably all in the same dream -- how Tanuka
loved tissues, especially soiled ones. Since I'm recovering from a cold, I have
plenty of them in the house. On Wednesday night, I kept a plastic bag on my coffee
table so I could dispose of used tissues during the night. When I woke up Thursday
morning, the bag was on the floor with its contents scattered all over the room.
Since Alex (Jim's dog) has never shown any inclination to chew on tissues, I can
only assume he was channeling Tanuka or that Tanuka was here. I wasn't feeling
very well and the whole incident make me laugh. We always knew Tanuka had a sense
of humor." I connected with Alex immediately and asked. Alex
said they were used tissues, totally gross and disgusting, that he's never touched
a tissue in his life and never would. He confirmed he had seen Tanuka comforting
Jim that night and confirmed that Tanuka had come to make Jim laugh. He said that
Tanuka told him he had chosen this particular time because Jim had been sick.
Tanuka when in form was always a healer who knew exactly what a being
needed most in that moment, to bring forth a response of healing.
Many
who knew him while he was in form, are calling on him now to help with their animals'
journeys. Chris and Bosco, in Sun City, Florida, emailed, "We call his spirit
in the mornings when we pray to help guide us in Bosco's process."

| Roy
has a new friend! | |

Students who attended my animal communication workshop at the Lighthouse
Farm Sanctuary in Salem, OR will remember Roy, the (Liz says ... LOL! VERY LARGE!)
Holstein steer who loves to behave like a puppy, playing and following people
around. Roy also loves to flick his head back and forth, much the way I used to
love to toss my hair back and forth when I had long hair ...except in Roy's case,
what adorns his head are sharp, pointed horns! So when Roy is approaching you
or following you around, as he loves to do, and shaking his head, as he loves
to do, it can have sudden consequences for soft human bodies! Roy is warm,
very loving, wonderful to speak with! When Elizabeth told him she was nervous
about his spontaneous tendencies towards head shaking around her, and that he
must keep his very large and beautiful head still around her with no head movements
that weren't discussed between them ahead of time, he immediately held his head
very still. So much love, greater still than his substantial size, flowed from
him! Those of you who met and loved Roy, will remember that Roy had primarily
the pigs, Baxter and Duncan, as field mates and really wanted a friend to play
with. You will be delighted to know that Roy now has a new friend, Stevie!
Blind since birth, Stevie is a Jersey steer. Stevie was rescued from the
Ark Animal Sanctuary in Tillamook, OR after that sanctuary was closed when neglect
charges were successfully filed against the director.
Roy and Stevie
graze together in the same field as Duncan and Baxter. Stevie has learned to use
all his senses and to come and go as he pleases. He now experiences a freedom
that he has never known before! Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary, whose motto
is "Kindness to All Beings," is a 3-year- old viable farm sanctuary
organization in the Pacific Northwest. Founded by Wayne Geiger, whom Elizabeth
calls "a giant of a man with the gentlest of souls," the Sanctuary has rescued
over 130 animals and found homes for many more. Originally intending to rescue
abused and neglected farm animals and provide them with "fluffy straw" and a life
without fear, the Sanctuary is broadening its programs to include outreach for
children's and community education programs to make changes in society.
"The outreach programs are designed to help people have greater appreciation
of all animals and greater distaste toward animal abuse," Wayne explains.
"There are many animals that live in daily fear of cruelty and neglect. We
exist to relieve their fears." Those who attended the class will remember
Fortunato, the Turkey. While we were there, an incredibly lively Fortunato absolutely
fell in love with Elizabeth and claimed her as his own ... including marking the
territory around where she stood to teach and fending away anyone who came near
her! Fortunato succumbed to the ills associated with his genetic breeding as these
broad breasted birds are selected to grow faster than their bodies can cope with.

If
the idea expresses within you, "Can one person really make a difference?"

you can! One
year has passed since the Tsunami hit South- East Asia and changed millions of
lives forever. From the disaster of this event, foremost among its shining examples
of committed service and love unbounded is Mata Amritanada Mayi, called "Amma"
and "Ammachi" by millions of devotees and the "Hugging Saint" by
many more. Over 21 million people have melted into her Divine Embrace. Although
small in stature, this spiritual powerhouse stands heads and shoulders above most
others on our planet. Eye
witnesses report that Amma, whose spiritual strength frequently is the only visible
sustenance for Her physical body, neither slept, ate, nor drank for days on end
while organizing rescue, recovery, and relief efforts in multiple countries in
South East Asia. All governments involved willingly supported and cooperated with
Her in Her intensely focused efforts to first bring spiritual comfort, emotional
and mental support, food, medical assistance and supplies and housing, and later

year after the Tsunami, Amma and Her devotees, volunteers from all over the world,
all mobilized by Divine Grace, have provided relief housing for over 4,100 refugee
families in multiple geographical locations; dispatched 10 fully equipped, medically
staffed ambulances; set up multiple relief camps in Amritaprui, Kerala, Tamil
Nadu, and neighboring Islands; dispatched volunteers to serve over 30,000 refuguees
3 meals daily in over a dozen locations, including 12 government camps; distributed
over 90,000 sets of clothes for men, women, and children; provided over 30,000
blankets; allotted 750 rupees to each affected individual; adopted 2 villages
and is moving to adopt a third; distributed over 6,000 bags of rice; donated 700
fishing boats, nets, and engines in Tamil Nadu and Kerala (each boat supports
on average 7 families); trained almost 4,000 people for new jobs, including providing
100 sewing machines to newly trained tailors; directed two educational camps for
10,000 children; built over 1,200 permanent homes and committed to build a total
of 6,200 permanent homes (some with the Tata organization, which I learned when
I was in India in October, is India's most powerful construction company).
Amma Herself supervised or guided all the activities, all the while also
blessing and overseeing thousands of funeral pyres and officiating at hundreds
of weddings, with Amma's organization providing the wedding dresses to many families
who had lost everything. Although Amma and Her organization originally pledged
100 crores (approximately $23 Million Dollars U.S.), to date closer to 200 crores
(approximately $46 Million Dollars U.S.) have been given. "I
always wanted to know the cause of misery of mankind and thought that if sorrow
is a truth, then there must be a cause and a way out. I realize my purpose is
to console - to personally wipe away tears through selfless love, compassion,
and service," Amma explains. "Compassion to the poor and the needy is
our duty to God." Through
the example of her own life Amma has inspired people from all over the world to
walk in the path of selfless-service and compassion towards all beings.
Amma's
relief reach extends beyond India and Sri Lanka. In the United States, Amma has
already given the Bush-Clinton Katrina Relief effort $1 Million. Her devotees
are involved in helping Hurricane Rita's victims as well. "The
need to feel and express love and compassion for everyone, with the understanding
that we are all part of a greater reality, is the core of spirituality," Amma
teaches. "Huge
trees are uprooted and buildings collapse in a cyclone, but no matter how strong
a cyclone is, it cannot touch the grass. This is the greatness of humility,"
