Mary A - Don't give up looking. In the news tonight a dog was reunited with its owner after 3 years!
jane - I hope that you don't mind my introducing you - Mic is from my animal communicators group - she is trying to find her lost parrot, Ruby - I suggested she follow your lost animal instructions - just like I did for James. Miracles DO happen, you know!
Dr. Liz - Mary A, all, you can be so proud of yourselves and what's happened so far ... The trial was post-poned, which at first glance seemed to be a horrendous set-back ... the Councilman approached the bench and told the Judge he hadn't made up his mind *AFTER A YEAR* about whether to get an attorney or represent himself ... the Judge said he would post pone the trial indefinitely until the Councilman made up his mind ... everyone else was horrified ... HOWEVER, because of some of you on the Angel Wonder Powers Team, PETA is now involved ... and now we have time to have them help as well!
Dr. Liz - AND it may come to pass, that the judge recluses himself, and we get another judge who isn't doing the "old boy network" thing.
Mary A - WE will win justice!
jane - Dr. Liz - I was wondering what had happened to that case. I am glad that PETA is involved. Animal abuse/neglect has got to stop!
Dr. Liz - Also, the Councilman is refusing to say where Cocoa is, or even if she is still alive ... and a lot of people are taking notice of that.
Dr. Liz - We will be needed on this case ... as soon as I have more details, I will send out another Emergency Prayer Request. You are so important in this.  Many people are grateful for your help!

Dee&Henry - jane-my family just rescued a pit mix...what a wonderful dog...they get such a bad rap
Dr. Liz - Mary A, I looked for her once on the earth plane and couldn't find her. I'd have to look once or twice more, to know if she was not in her body at that time, due to shock or trauma or drugs, or not in her body due to physical death of the body.
Joanne - I'm in the Mid-West. There idea of animal care is archaic. My neighbors keep their dogs in a tool shed and there is nothing that can be done about it.
jane - My beautiful Scarlett kitty and Rusty kitty are here in the room with me tonight. Scarlett looks ravishing - and Rusty keeps trying to help me type.

Dr. Liz - All, since we didn't really get to the chat topic last time in its fullness, let's start it now. Our topic tonight is Forgiveness. It comes to me to start by asking people to share, what "forgiveness" means, to them.
Dee&Henry - and NO dead animals
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - they checked/cleaned the air conditioning vents--found nothing
Dee&Henry - I wonder if now that zoe is "on the other side"...would she know what that smell is Dr Liz?
GirlyGirls - My friend Susan had a similar smell problem in a 150 yr old house she bought. . .kept cleaning and cleaning and couldn't understand why the house smelled. Very, very, very old sewage pipes under the house, ceramic, had fallen apart. She had to dig out underneath the house, remove soil and old pipes.
Dee&Henry - opening your heart, and releaseing any negative feelings
Dr. Liz - Even more importantly, at some point, we may ask, to inquire into ourselves, to see if there's anyone or anything we feel we haven't forgiven yet.
Mary A - I'll start, forgiveness is a journey and it takes a while to travel that road
Dr. Liz - Including ourselves.
GirlyGirls - Well, yes to that, LIZ!!!
jane - One of the things forgiveness means to me is being able to move on when other people do what I consider to be bad things - but probably most important is self forgiveness (which I have a hard time with)

jane - Forgiveness is releasing the past
Joanne - Forgiveness to me is understanding my behavior and others. Usually it involves protective behaviors -- ego centered. You can forgive because what happened is no longer important.
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - forgiveness feels like the allowance of actions against us or others and living in the now with only the elements present. You get stuck living in the past if you refuse to forgive
Mary A - I'm on that road right now and its been very difficult because I found it to be holding me back tremendously
Dee&Henry - being at peace with the past..letting it go (whether self or others)
Dr. Liz - DH, thank you!
GirlyGirls - For me the journey has been giving myself permission to not worry about forgiving, but to make my priority to heal myself with the thought that I will forgive when and if I can, even if it is after that person is long dead. I was being guilted in a family situation into feeling like it was up to me to make the other feel better about himself, absolved . . .decided to leave that part up to God.
Dr. Liz - Mary A, yes, arriving at an empowered relationship with forgiveness is VERY important.
GirlyGirls - Letting go of the desperate need to find forgiveness within myself gave me room to really start to heal and change my life
Dr. Liz - I feel a few distinctions offered here, may be helpful.
Mary A - It is because you cannot evolve or move forward without forgiveness
GirlyGirls - Which took me to better understanding of submission to the vulnerability of love/loving. . .that submission, human relationships and God relationship, forces one to heal!
Dr. Liz - Firstly, is the word, forgiveness. I feel it is very useful to understand, the forgiveness actually means, LET IT GO. It is very oriented towards the Forgiver, not the one being forgiven. Except we get confused, we humans, we tend to think that we are giving forgiveness to another ...
Dee&Henry - GG- the submission seems right
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - Its focus on how we can rise above an be better people for ourselves...letting our higher purpose recognize the destructive nature of not forgiving
GirlyGirls - Mary A, I had to forgive myself for not forgiving, and let go of the attachment that forgiveness was the only answer to healing and find a differnt path. Much healthier for me.
Dr. Liz - And we get confused, thinking that to forgive means to condone ... forgive means to forgive.
jane - Mary A - I feel that too - you cannot move forward unless you can forgive - I have gotten so much better - I can forgive others so fast, but have trouble forgiving myself!
GirlyGirls - Liz, offering forgiveness to one who is not ready to understand it is like giving a gift to one who cannot receive. (In other words, I agree)
Dee&Henry - right Dr. Liz- but forgivness is something WE controll...it does not matter what or who created the "situation" , WE controll the act of forgivness- (letting go)
Mary A - Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves
Dr. Liz - Except it is a truth, that as we forgive others, is how we forgive ourselves; and how we forgive ourselves, is how we forgive others, at some level.
Dr. Liz - DH ... precisely.
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - forgiveness is empowering
Dee&Henry - Mary A- nicely worded
Dr. Liz - In the Judao-Christian tradition, there is a line in what is commonly called "The Lord's Prayer" which has two popular English translations. One is, "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors."
Mary A - thank you
Dr. Liz - The other is, "forgive us our trespasses as we forgive others who trespass against us."
Dr. Liz - Interestingly, in the Aramaic, this isn't what is being said.
Joanne - What is being said in the Aramaic?
Dr. Liz - In the Aramaic, what is said, correctly translated is, "forgive me the fruit that, having robbed it from another by virtue of having judged them, is rotting my flesh, as I forgive others."
jane - Dr.Liz - you said something that just hit me like a ton of bricks and I think that this is the misconcept that most people have - that forgive means to condone - it doesn't - it means to forgive! light bulb going off here.
Dr. Liz - Jesus spoke Aramaic.
Dr. Liz - It really means, "thou shalt not judge" ... for the simple reason, that when we judge ourselves or another, it hurts. And when we hurt, we rot somewhere.
jane - Forgiveness is the absence of judgement -
GirlyGirls - Exactly Jane, take it to another level. . .if someone rapes or beats you, you cannot condone it. . .simple
Joanne - Judging is at the root of all sin. It's the assumptions we make based on our beliefs that the ego dwells on.
Dee&Henry - jane- yeah
Dr. Liz - There's another important concept here, too. ANd that is, forgiveness which is not condoning, is also not pardoning. Pardoning is something that can only be done by an authority, and only when a stated transgression to a law has been done.
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - I agree Joanne
GirlyGirls - i.e., leave that part up to God
Dr. Liz - Or when someone abuses an animal, it is not condoned.
Dr. Liz - The Dalai Lama, when asked if he could forgive, especially the Chinese, said, "Yes. There is only enlightenment and ignorance. They act from ignorance. However, having acted, it is wise to remember what they have done."
Mary A - How do you get past the Emotion of unforgiveness?
Dr. Liz – Feels similar to what Jesus the Christ, said: "Forgive them, for they know not what they do."
GirlyGirls - There is a the distinction, also, that forgiving someone does not require that we continue relationship with them
Dr. Liz - Mary A, you find the resonance of the higher lesson in the act that created the emotion of unforgiveness, as the Dalai Lama says ... "wise to remember what was done." Turn it into wisdom.
Dr. Liz - GG, precisely.
Mary A - The emotion attached to the unforgiving?
Dr. Liz - So, Mary A, can you see what lessons you may have learned, in the situation, that resulted in the feeling of unforgiveness? Sometimes it is something WE have an opportunity to now be wise about.
Mic - Accepting the person as they are makes forgiveness easier
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - so there is a bigger lesson learned from forgiveness
jane - Dr. Liz - This is making so much sense - we can only help when we can - we cannot judge or condone - that is up to the individual person and the Universe. This is so hard to get away from, isn't it? I can do it so many times, then will slip and fall and judge again....
Dr. Liz - And when we see how much we are hurting ourselves by feeling the unforgiveness, we realize, it is healthier to just let it go. To find the highest resonance in the situation. It's always there, the higher resonance.
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, precisely.
Mary A - I'm beginning to believe that that situation was given to me to learn forgiveness
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - i always find it amazing how simple it is to move forward with life when we forgive
GirlyGirls - I think we think too much about forgiveness as an emotionally touchy-feely event ( do use a dated 70s expression). Forgiveness may simply be, at least in my case, the decision to detach and move on.
Dr. Liz - Again, to create distinctions, there is a distinction between observing and judging. We are at our best when we are nonjudgementally observing. As soon as we judge, we're going to hurt, whether we're judging another or ourselves. When we are just observing, we don't hurt.

Mary A - It makes it easier for me to look at situations as life lessons I need to learn to evolve
Dee&Henry - hmmm- Dr Liz- that sounds SO right
Dr. Liz - I'll tell a story on myself. I've known for quite a while, how important forgiveness is. As GG says, however, it's a journey. Over 10 years ago, I bought Jerry Jampolsky's book on Forgiveness ... right after it was first published, actually. I really had some stuff "up" for me when I bought it. I was so confronted by the first page, that I put it down and didn't pick it up again for several months! I couldn't even get through the first page!
Mary A - When I look at it that way , I can see the bigger picture
Dr. Liz - The best way I've found to look at "forgiveness" is to think of it as "freedomness" ... to be FREE of the self-inflicted "rotting of the flesh" that arises from having judged another. To find the lesson, the higher resonance, and let it go.
GirlyGirls - (Yoga has the practice of the "Objective Witness Stance" . . .)

Dr. Liz - GG.... feels like a GREAT practice!
Mic - We're not responsible for others actions or to carry that burden
Dr. Liz - Mic ... correct. We ARE, however, responsible for how we react.
GirlyGirls - My lesson has simply been the courage and the work to reclaim my life. . .
jane - I agree, Mic - and Dr. Liz - our reaction or non-reaction is everything!
Dee&Henry - we can not cpontrol other or situations..only how we react to others and situations
Dr. Liz - GG, I'm going through that, too. There are times when I feel I've lost my timing in my life, and times when I feel I've lost my self-confidence, too ... I feel a lot of this is because I continue to move further and further away from an extrinsic way of being in the world, to an intrinsic way, and all the measures need to change: the surrender to Spirit needs to come always to the fore.
Mic - I would react in offering a different alternative but also stating
Dr. Liz - By "all the measures", I mean, moving from extrinsic measures, to intrinsic measures.
GirlyGirls - Surrender, submission to the love. . . forces us to heal. We are not fully human until we allow ourselves to be vulnerable to one another. Of course, Jesus did this and we know how it initially worked out, but things did get better from there!!
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - Dr. Liz, I'm not sure I understand ex/intrinsic measures
jane - I don't think I understand, Dr. Liz. - moving from extrinsic to intrinsic measures - what does that mean? I can't imagine you losing your self confidence...
Dr. Liz - We have the option, in awareness, to catch our emotions, to catch our thoughts which create our emotions, to change our physiology, and to recognize and let flow through us, the emotion/thought of the moment ... and then CHOOSE a response or non-response.
Dr. Liz - Extrinsic would be something outside of ourselves, intrinsic would be something inside of ourselves.
Dr. Liz - I've been gradually over the years transforming extrinsic values, which are what I was taught, into intrinsic values such as living from the heart.
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - I understand now : )
Mic - being content, peaceful with self lets us choose our reaction
Mary A - I am finding the more spiritually evolved I become the more the outside world has less pull
Dr. Liz - Mary A ... :) Mic ... :)
Cheryl&PJ&Jake - So more like living with your souls higher purpose in the forefront--and understanding what the soul values as opposed to what the ego values
Dee&Henry - i do something i learned in this chat...i am much more aware of what I 'say"...and make sure to "cancel" it if it not congruent with what I want....( I am surprized how often i need to "correct" my thoughts, but also surprized how often I am aware and catch myself
Dr. Liz - A good way to begin to forgive, is to breathe. Deeply.
GirlyGirls - Create space within
Dr. Liz - DH ... you're with me! THat's where I was heading (after breathing!) Good job!
jane - So is it like shedding a love of material and external things that are really not important - to things that are more important now - like animals and friends and social consciousness and thinking for the good of the planet, etc....
Dr. Liz - Jane, it's not so much shedding a love of ... it's more shedding any kind of attachment to. We can still appreciate material and external things. Just with no attachment.
Mary A - Spirit becomes more important than the material
Dr. Liz - We have the opportunity to live from the declaration of who we are. This becomes a spirit-guided intrinsic value system.
Dr. Liz - Mary A, precisely.
Mary A - To me that is where the freedom is
Dr. Liz - Mary A, yes, me, too.

Joanne - Dr. Liz, I'm sorry to get off topic but I just got off the phone with someone I work with. Her daughter and her daughter's husband were found dead. They ruled that the daughter killed the husband then committed suicide. She doesn't believe it. She thinks the police are hiding something. The husband was a police officer. Anything you might be able to say to ease her pain would be helpful.

Suzy - I hope it's ok that I came back to the computer. I already have Baby Luv in the new, large cage and she can see him. His cage is in the same room on the opposite wall. That is where I was thinking of putting her new cage. The cage is easy to put together and there will no longer be wire for her to step on...just nice wooden shelves. Much more space than where she is now. I can move the cage on the wheels it sits on.
Suzy - I have one large cage for her and one for Chili & Powder and I'm not sure if Cocoa could ever share with any of the others or if I need to buy her a new cage to. Cocoa's cage now is fairly large but not as large as the new ones.

Mary A - Are they affectionate? Do they bond well with humans?
Dr. Liz - Suzy, when relocating or recaging animals, it's often a good idea to use the Bach Flower Essence, "walnut." You can put it in an atomizer and spray it lightly in the room for about a week before your planned changes through the day(s) of the changes and then for a week or so after. It helps with settling and accepting.

Suzy - That is a relief Liz....I will use the walnut too. I wanted them to have more room to run and play while I'm at work. The new cages accomodate a nice running wheel too which they don't have now.

Suzy - Mary they can be affectionate. Especially when you get them young like my Baby Luv who's only 4 months old.

Suzy - Thanks Mary! Dr Liz spoke to Baby Luv and let me know he liked that name when I got him a few months ago. He is so sweet he won me over! Cocoa misses Gandalf (her boyfriend who sadly died of malocclusion, a dental disorder).

Dr. Liz - Flood water bilge IS an unfamiliar smell, unless you've smelled it ... so is rotting or dying flesh. Have you called a wildlife person, such as someone who could determine if it's dead mice or dead raccoons in the walls or ceiling?
Suzy - Tee hee.....Dee do you know those are the only two names I didn't choose? They came with those names but I liked them so much I kept them. Dr Liz and I discussed maybe giving Powder another name but so far I'm still using Powder.
