kikfrd - It was a very tough story to watch so I don't have a lot of details but a pet chimp attacked a woman's freind.
kikfrd - I just thought dee was THAT excited :-)
Dr. Liz - Marianne, was the chimp put down?
Dr. Liz - Marianne, I had that thought briefly, too ... LOL ... at least until I read her second type in!!!!
kikfrd - The owner had to stab the chimp to get him to stop attacking. She called 911 and you could hear him screaming in the back ground. eventually cops showed up and shot him.
kikfrd - It was a very dramatic experience for all involved.
Dr. Liz - The cops followed procedures. Procedures say to shoot the attacking animal if it cannot otherwise be restrained.
kikfrd - the chimp was attacking the police. he went so far as to open a cruiser door and that cop shot him
kikfrd - after Travis was shot he went back to his bed and died.
kikfrd - Supposedly the woman gave him zanex but now she is denying that.
Dr. Liz - I've connected once with a chimp who was a "house pet". The chimp was VERY attached to his female human, and was VERY jealous of certain attentions paid to his human.
kikfrd - Travis was gnawing at this woman's face and hands.
Dr. Liz - I wonder what perfume or scent she was wearing.

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - He had a bit of a traumatic experience yesterday as part of his acupuncture session.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - Dee, thank you. He's such a joy. :) I loved writing that email.

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - They couldn't find all the acupuncture needles. Not uncommon ... but 3 vet techs and then the vet herself couldn't find them. He was traumatized by all the hands running all over him. He fled to the corner. I finally threw a hissy fit to the Universe, a quiet one, but a strong one, and then suddenly my hand rubbed the fur under his left chest and the needle fell out to the floor.
kikfrd - Tigger is here but he doesn't have the chat box at the top of the screen...
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - But he avoided me for a while after that. It was heartbreaking for me. I guess we all face that balance of doing the interventions that we know will help, and yet, the animal has trouble receiving it or something goes a little wrong during the process and the animal gets upset.
Cheryl & kids - It's all in the perception of the event
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - Cheryl, what I learned, is to make sure I myself know where all the needles are.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - And not to leave it to the vet or the vet techs. They seem to think it's funny, an attitude I personally find rather insensitive.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - Marianne, Tigger's telling me he didn't get the rescue remedy every day .... is that correct, do you know?

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - OK. A question. Who here, when you think about unconditional love, thinks about your behavior relative to another ... like another person ... or perhaps the behavior of an animal who is demonstrating unconditional love?

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - For me, I used to think that unconditional love was being loving and kind and nonjudgemental to any and everyone. Has anyone else here, held that thought?
Cheryl & kids - I think unconditional love exists between us and our "God" or "Higher energy source"...I'm not sure we are capable, in our human form to experience it....I think we strive toward it, but when we see an animals love, which I think better demonstrates unconditional love, I'm not sure I know f any human who can eplicate it
Dee & kids - unconditional oneness with anohter, despite how they act, it just loves THEM
kikfrd - It is feeling but when dealing with another person or animal you sometimes have to do the tough love thing
rosietara - My love for Tara/Rosie is very deep and caring...never felt this for a human being....
Cheryl & kids - In meditation, without the presence of ego--it seems easier to conceptualize unconditional love
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - I personally always felt that I might not ever achieve true unconditional love, at least not in "our society", because I would always feel the need, let's say, to stay out of certain city areas, or be alert in the subway, etc. etc.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - In other words, to be circumspect or wise about who was around me and what was going on... to not be a door-mat, for example.
Cheryl & kids - Unconditional love I think exists only the the "NOW" in the immediate "I AM"--they true honoring of our true selves
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - Anyway, I found that I was thinking about unconditional love as a way of being or not being between myself and another human, or other humans, or animals, for that matter.
Dee & kids - I think our HUMAN condition can not truely experience unconditional love,, our learned human ways interfere,, (fears, judgements etc)
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - What I realized about a week ago is, that isn't it.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - The insight that came is, unconditional love actually has nothing to do with what we feel towards another.
rosietara - So true, Liz! Humans have the tendency to love and/ or disappoint...animals simply cannot do that...they just love...
Dee & kids - i agree Dr Liz..we as a people needed the energy of what Obama stands for
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - It has only to do with what we feel towards ourselves ... the light we allow to show us what's there, and to love all parts of us.
Cheryl & kids - I belive that--Unconditional Love is a place of BEING! not a felling we can put into words or actions.

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - And since we perceive and receive that, it feels to us, as unconditional love. So it starts with us ... the unconditional love of us for ourself ...
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - "Think" about it ... when we love ourselves unconditionally, we love ourselves without judgement ... we love ourselves with acceptance ... and then that is what we radiate, because that is what we have become. It's all about what is going on inside of us, that radiates out ...
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - And when we love ourselves unconditionally, we celebrate ourselves ... so we become that energy, too.

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - And interestingly, it has practically nothing to do with what we 'do' or 'don't do' to another ... it's how we are BE-ING that matters.

kikfrd - We've been discussing something like this all week in a way.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - And when we are celebrating ourselves non-judgementally, with acceptance and "light", then what flows is the correct action regarding other people or situations ... whatever that may be.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - Kikfrd, we indeed must all be on the same wave length, whether in direct contact, or not! LOL!

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - On my web-site years ago, I placed a short description of the only 3 actions for someone on a spiritual path .... to join with, to serve, or to be away from.
kikfrd - My mother is a force to be reckoned with and I realize it has nothing to do with her. It has to do with me.
Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - They still are the 3 actions ... but the who that we are in our core, is what may change.
Dee & kids - it helps to be able to "see" every situation that arrises from a point of non-judgement, not get sucked into the drama of it, and then act (not re-act) to what is going on.....

Cheryl & kids - Dr. Liz, what Dee and I have been currently working with is energies that are "outside to conventional" and we have been more "in-touch" with spirit and energy realms that, now that I think of it...those relationships...with people or animals from the emergy world, we have NO judgemnt of them--they connection just "IS" and we can just experience "being & interaction" with them, without any periphial emotions

Cheryl & kids - Truth is, when we connect to the higher energy spirits and energies, in fact, it doesn't feel like "love as we know it" at all...but the implicit trust and connection to truth that you know you have with htem might in fact be that unconditional love

Dr. Liz & Mr. Smudge - RT, he's had 3 successful acupuncture treatments before. What spooked him, in his 4th one, was they couldn't find all the needles, and 3 vet techs plus the vet, from his perspective , "ganged up on him" and had their hands all over him and it terrified him.
