I have heard several stories (including my Pinky) of dogs and cats who had Lyme's, seemed to get through it, then developed bad immune system problems, llike cancer, liver failure, within a couple of years.

Elizabeth - GirlyG ... yes, it is to strengthen the immune system. The problem with lyme's is that it never really goes away. Another problem is, that sometimes ... very frequently, actually ... one round of antibiotics isn't enough.

Elizabeth - GirlyG ... I'm happy to learn this. It's important. Many holistic people are justifiably nervous about antibiotics, however, I've found they're the best approach to combating lyme's.

Elizabeth - And the yearning many feel, deep in their core, is the yearning to feel Connected to Source.

Elizabeth - Both can be handled by entering the state of "non-thought". Because Source lives in the area of us that is beyond thought, in the domain of non-thought. Not NO thought, but non-thought.

Laura&FurryKids - I'm asking because the topic came to me in a dream not long ago, so I found myself at the library doing some research...
Elizabeth - (Laura ... yes!)  I observed years ago, that it's not an accident that our 'thinking' part of us, is in our heads...it feels like spiritual energy goes into the tops of our heads, and then finds thought, and energizes what it finds, according to the strength of the emotion charged to the thought ... but if the thoughts aren't there, what expresses itself, is Divine energy and it's out=flow.

Marge - ... where everything feels 'present' and 'peaceful'?

jenners&presley - yes, liz. with vipassana, we learn to look dispassionately at the emotion and not attach it to a thought or action
GirlyGirls - living in the present moment. . not bound to past or future. .. able to cmpletely create with God in this moment. . how the saints performed miracles, I think. .
GirlyGirls - Liz, I'm still a little fuzzy on the last line . . but if the thoughts arent' there. . etc. . help. . .
Laura&FurryKids - But Out-flow=In-flow, too, like a spiral?
Elizabeth - The true meaning of the Universe living us, or the Divine expressing through us (same thing), is held in this observation. That when we are in now, with total observation and awareness, and in a state of non-thought, the Universe gives us the thoughts, and expresses action (usually loving & compassionate action) through us.
Elizabeth - Laura .... the energy does feel like a spiral to me.

Laura&FurryKids - We still want to be compassionate with ourselves when we have thoughts, though!
Elizabeth - So it helps to undo thoughts that don't serve. In the undoing of even a single thought that doesn't serve, I have found, (and neurologists have confirmed), over 3,000 other thoughts of similar disempowering energy are also un-done.
GirlyGirls - Thoughts themselves aren't the culprit, it is the negative emotions that charge many thoughts, baggage, fear, etc. . .

GirlyGirls - Yes, Liz, I know this from a friend who works with Vets doing EMDR. undoing one trigger, usually undoes many.
jenners&presley - is the undoing to look at the thought and release its emotion, whether attraction or revulsion, and let it go?

Elizabeth - (Laura ... archetypes could be a subject for another chat!)  So an image that has helped me, is to lovingly yet dispassionately 'see' myself ... and to notice that the associative portion of the brain lies above the eyes ... and to think of it either as a block, or as not even being there at all ... in the former, it's a block, blocking Divine energy ... in the latter, it's not even there, and the Divine energy flows through ... so when I feel myself occasionally thinking negatively, I visualize the 'block' as an x-ray plate, and I simply put all the disempowering thoughts on the plate and slide it out of my head. Voila! Open-ness to Source in One Quick Move!

Marge - Liz ... I've found the lesson on Identifying Goals ... Lesson 10 ... really made me think deep, and uprooted a lot. Does that make sense?
Robert - Liz...I think you mentioned something about developing a daily Spiritual practice...any suggestions for that?

Elizabeth - I can't look up the Index without disconnecting from the chatroom, to see which lesson is which. But there's a beautiful one on the Remembrance of the Name, which is designed intentionally to get people started with a daily spiritual practice.
