Dr. Liz - Speaking to a class of students learning linguistics is always interesting, because linguistics, of course, is the study of the phonology, morphology, semantics and syntax of language ... in other words, spoken language … which only makes up about 10% of overall communication. So it stretches them to realize there's a LOT more to the ENERGETICS of communication, including the "language" that the animals (and all of nature) speak ...

jane - dr.Liz - do you get any kind of impression at all that our language is kind of going by the wayside - like it is getting lost? Does that make sense?

Dr. Liz - I am very grateful that there are people out there connected to Universities and Colleges who have used my services and who know that there's something special and amazing going on that needs to be shared; and who act on their knowing and invite me in to speak! It hasn’t always been smooth, sometimes there’s been extraordinary controversy over it.
Marge - Hope more and more of them do so Liz.
Cheryl - Dr. Liz, it is always amazing how the Universe links us up to those energies that help us to serve with our innate gifts
Dr. Liz - Jane, I feel that languages are blending ... there are several thousand on the planet, and some are going into extinction as their last speakers die. Some are being developed newly. An example of newly developed language is Hinglish, a mixture of Hindi and English, which is very popular among East Indians both in India and in North America.
Dr. Liz - Marge, mostly, I like doing such presentations. :)
Cheryl - Especially with one so strong as yours...this world benefits each and every time you get involved with a situation.
jane - I am also very grateful that people in higher education use your services, Dr. Liz - and for that matter, ANYONE who uses your services to educate the population in general.
Dee&Zoe - jane-what I find interesting is how our spoken language is used to "say" one thing, and own actions another
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, thank you! This class was interesting ... the professor originally was going to bring her dogs in so that I could do a live demonstration. She decided against it. It worked out fantastically well anyway because the first student who asked a question about her animal (who as at her home), the animal came through with images, sounds, and feelings, and the subsequent reading totally amazed everyone there.
Dr. Liz - Dee, the human species seems to be the only species on the planet that is capable of being incongruent with its spoken sounds and its actual message or intention.
jane - I have heard that sometimes people are "afraid" of what their animal might reveal to you!
Dr. Liz - Jane, yes, that people are sometimes afraid and/or downright don't want to hear their animal's message, is definitely my experience.

sis - I have my Lucky cat here with me. He will be 18 in Jan. He has kidney disease but has been doing quite well. He didnn't eat as much as usual today as usual but he will come get me if he wants more food before I go to bed.

Cheryl - Dr. Liz, Dee & I watched a show on the Discovery channel a few weeks ago, called Wild Child...about children (in terribly unfortunate circumstances) were raised by animals with no ability to speak any human anguage. Do you suppose those children could seak in the way animals cmmunicate? And if so could you imagine a conversation with hthem?

Dr. Liz - I was very happy with my presentation tonight. It was a mix of Power Point, show and tell, and demonstration. It blended beautifully. And the students ... even for a Thursday night class that is the last of the evening near the end of the week ... were on the edges of their seats leaning forward by the end of it! Plus a few of the students invited guests in ... I really enjoyed it. :)

jane - Dr. Liz - I just asked Wolfie and Little Bit to say hello to you - did you hear them? They are not here for any particular reason, except they are here.
Dr. Liz - Cheryl, definitely. Cheryl, all, years ago, I did intuitive work for a child at a pediatric respiratory hospital in Voorhees, NJ. The children ranged in ages from a few weeks to 8 or so years. All had trachs in their throats and none could speak. I noticed immediately that they all knew why there were here, meaning, why they were born and what their purpose in life is. They all communicated telepathically. They also were all very frustrated at not being understood by the "speaking" humans. Another thing I noticed was that within six months of the trachs being removed (for those who got well enough to have that happen), they all had lost their telepathy, lost their knowing of their soul's purpose and why they were born.

Dr. Liz – I saw that the process of teaching children to speak can sometimes squeeze telepathy and intuition out of a child.
Cheryl - WOW...thats amazing!
Dr. Liz - If the process of learning how to speak doesn't do it, sitting in a classroom and being rewarded for memorization, often will. But not always.
jane - Dr.Liz - I think we have discussed this before - I work at a MR/DD facility - although the name constanly changes to reflect the advancements in making these people's lives meaningful. I have often thought that I would love to get someone like you out where I work to "TALK" to these "mentally challenged" people who cannot speak verbally. What a difference it could make in their lives.
Dee&Zoe - I guess thta the brain can adapt when it needs to, but our society is so focused on the spoken word...we push our childern to say their "first word"
Cheryl - So, would it be right to say that these children, while growing up is such bizarre situations, were ok with it mostly, for intuitive knowing and connectedness allows them to understand their situations?
Dee&Zoe - im not surprised that ability was lost...but sad how much "other" information goes with that
jane - I think that people are becoming more and more open to these kinds of things - psychic communication - although some people really have to see it to believe it!
Dee&Zoe - I wonder if stroke victims regain this ability after years of no spoken communication
Dr. Liz - Jane, it does make a difference both in their lives and also in the lives of the people who love them and the care-takers, when the care-takers are open. About two months ago, I was called in to translate the wishes and intent of a beautiful older hospitalized woman in a coma. She was very clear about what interventions and therapies she wanted and didn't want and her family was incredibly relieved. They experienced a great deal of peace in hearing her wishes so clearly. She spoke telepathically to me in such a way that they absolutely knew it was her ... she used vocabulary and phrases unique to her. She referred to things I couldn't possibly have known.
sis - Dr. Liz, How wonderful that you could help this family.
jane - That is so awesome! Do you think that more and more people are regaining their ability to communicate telepathically?
Dee&Zoe - what a gift you gave that famiily
Dr. Liz - Dee, I don't know about stroke victims. I have experienced that Alzheimer's victims can still communicate telepathically. They are usually so incredibly frustrated, the Alzheimer's people, because they absolutely know what they want to say and what they want to do but they've completely lost the ability to get their bodies to do it.
Cheryl - What an amazing experience for that family.
Dr. Liz - Dee, yes, we all had tears in our eyes.
Marge - The cat I named "Orange" who has come to my place wild as can be ... who has shown me that my Sherman sometimes comes through him to see me ... is sometimes still very distant (won't let me touch him) ... then other times, he purs and lets me rub and pet him lovingly. It's become quite the interesting experience!!!

jane - I can imagine anyone who is still in their body, but are physically limited and/or lost their speech - I'm sure it is such a relief to have someone "talk" to them so their views can be heard - to me - it is like animal communication - so many animals and people are helped and/or saved when the animal's point of view can be heard - lives change! It is a wonderful thing!

Cheryl - You have been able to touch our lives in a way no one else can. Your gifts are amazing and since our class a few weeks ago, I have called upon your energy when I do healing work/communication and "you'" feel wonderful

Dr. Liz - Cheryl, thank you, yes. It's interesting how that works ... when you call on "my" energy, the Universe fills me with more ... so you get some and whoever you're healing gets some and I get replenished and then some! :) It's a win-win-win situation!

Dr. Liz - I've developed the ability to know what animal is calling on me for help, to a higher level, than the ability to know what human(s) is/are calling on me for help. LOL!
Dr. Liz - Sometimes I know very clearly. Some people have suddenly received telephone calls from me from "out of the blue,” when they needed help.
Dr. Liz - Last night at 10:00 pm when normally I would be concluding my day, I suddenly found myself dialing the number of and returning the call of someone who called mid-afternoon yesterday. I have helped her with her animals and also most recently with sageing her house. I also, last week, helped a dear friend of hers with her friend's sister, who was very close to dying and wanted to know what her beloved animal wanted to do, especially who the animal wanted to live with. Unbeknownst to me consciously, the sister died on Monday; and the friend was at that very moment, in the house I was calling ... which gave me the opportunity to connect with all of them and do prayers with and for all.

Dr. Liz - <grin> Our topic was on happiness ... and what our blocks or conversations to being happy while living in this world might be.
Dr. Liz - Jane, so do I. It makes me feel like I am totally on target in doing the Universe's bidding ... that I'm listening ... that I'm in action ... that the Universe is “talking” to me in a way that results in loving and compassionate action through me.
Dee&Zoe - it just proves how connected we all are if we are just willing to be aware enough to notice
Cheryl - I am always filled with such an energy when you speak of the loving way you open your heart to Spirit and allow it to use you as a vehicle for its goodness

Dr. Liz - What I have found works best, is when we drop the mental conversations, the chatter, that gives us all the reasons to NOT be happy!
Dr. Liz - Deeksha, terrifying is an attitude, too. A situation in and of itself is neither terrifying nor not terrifying. It is only the meaning that we give it in our minds, that can terrify us. Or not.

Dee&Zoe - Deeksha- a terrifying situation is your feelings overlayed onto a situation, your ideas about a situation make it feel fearful...look at the situation for what it is, the truth to it,, drop the fear around it and all that is left is the situation....
Dee&Zoe - looking at a situation this way can make a plan to deal with it come more clearly
Dee&Zoe - the mind is not cluttered with images/feeling fo the fear

Deeksha - Liz, Dee, yes. A lot of it has to do with your influences too. If others around you are terrified, or tell you you are in danger, it is easy to develop their impression as your own. E.g. "this neighborhood is bad" "these are scary times we live in"

Dr. Liz - Fear or terror almost always come as a result of the false belief that we have something, need something, or want something. Without those beliefs, there can be no fear.
Cheryl - This is something that I mention to people who impose thoughts on a situation. When someone comes to me saying that had a horrible day...I remind them that there are thousands of people in the world (probably more) that would "upgrade" their day to your "bad day". Kind of changes the persepective

Deeksha - Sometimes it might mean you have to retreat into isolation, or better said, solitude, in order to assess your real impression. I'm learning that it's more effective to silently nod or note that someone (on the train, etc) thinks it's a bad day rather than try to cheer them up. Sometimes the cheering works, but just mirroring back calm is often the most productive for all concerned. YAy Liz, that is cool news!

Dee&Zoe - I have foound that since I made a very conscious effort to stop judging (situations, people) Ii find it much easier to deal with things, and I do not get as emotionally drained as I used to

Dr. Liz - Dee, that is my experience here, too. :)
Dr. Liz - Deeksha, the peace will always come when the conversations of the mind are cleared. It can be no other way.
Marge - Prayer time?
Dr. Liz - The most common belief from the workshop was that the world is in terrible shape, so how could anyone be happy with all the awful things going on in the world and all the horrible things we're doing to the planet.
Dee&Zoe - Dr Liz- i think it is maybe more accurate to say that the peace is always there....it can only be found once the converssations are stopped
Dr. Liz - Drop the conversation and create an energetic of happiness, and we instantly become part of the solution and no longer a part of the problem.
Dee&Zoe - going back to the idea that peace and discord are not opposites, either one or the other
